Dark Crisis On Infinite Earths: What Did We learn?
Written by Will Harrison
Through Dark Crisis, we find out that The Justice League didn't really die, in fact They were being housed for energy on separate planets for each member. The energy was being used for Pariah's dark plans, which in the end panned out and didn't really go anywhere thanks to Nightwing, John Kent(Super-man), Dr. Light and Black Adam. So to sum it all up this series was mainly meant to bring forth the second and third generation of heroes to shine, and also for Black Adam as well - which was good timing with his movie coming out. In the end all the Justice Leaguers returned except for Green Arrow, He was lost, which I'm sure will work out in a story eventually? Also the League decided to take a break and Amanda Waller was granted by -The Light (you'll remember them from the animated Young Justice series.) to war on the Metahumans. I honestly was a little let down with this series, hopefully they will fix it with the next series - Lazarus Planet - Cover featured below. |
Justice League #75: The Death Of The Justice League.

Dark Crisis - The story as follows will be The Justice League goes into space to confront Pariah's Dark Army! The Dark Army consist so far of the villains featured in the picture below. Pariah is a character that was originally featured in 1985s Crisis On Infinite Earths as an overseer of the demise of The Multiverse, controlled by The Anti-Monitor. He later died several times only to be brought back to life in some weird way, now He's back for blood apparently? Either way the future doesn't look to bright for the Justice League! But there are rumors of a new Justice League to form after events of Dark Crisis! We will have to wait and see! |
DC Comics Brings "The Conjuring" To Comics, June 4th 2021!
Superman: Red and Blue #2!
Written by Will Harrison Here's a few few panels from Superman: Red and Blue #2 Illustrated by Dan Panosian! I'm really enjoying this title so far! Originally I thought they were going to have the two separate Supermen, like they have in the past.. One Red and One blue. Thank goodness they haven't! This is visually way cooler! I hope they keep it up! Just For Fun Here's Some Previous Incarnations! |
DC Comic's Infinite Frontier, Will Be Raising A Few Eyebrows!
Written by Will Harrison
DC Comics has announced that they won't be doing another rebut in March 2021, instead they will be opening doors to new writers and new stories, that don't have to necessarily be cannon, in the DCU. With that being said all stories will be welcomed and make for a bigger and better DCU! With the start of Infinite Frontier, in March, There will be multiple storylines and multiple versions of all of the characters, such as Batmen, Supermen and the Flashes. There will be a combination of the old and new characters and storylines. This may seem confusing to some fans and fine to others - however the directors at DC Comics felt it was important to do this in order to open up a new era of comics. I think this will be an interesting way to end some age old arguments, about who is the best version of certain characters, like Barry Allen or Wally West? However I'm sure more arguments will ensue because you can never make some trolls happy! |
Spider-Man Gets A New Costume! Oh Boy!
Written By Will Harrison
Well here it is folks - the all new Amazing Spider-Man's New high tech suit! The new suit was designed by Dustin Weaver, meant to combine a futuristic look with that of the original costume. This will officially debut in March in The Amazing Spider-Man #62! I'll say it's art imitating art, with it being a high tech suit like that of the one in the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe). Yes it's different in color scheme but it will probably has it's own Jarvis of Sorts? or maybe something new like Aunt May's essence guiding Peter through his fights, that would be new and odd at the same time! LOL! They need to bring back uncle Ben in the story again some how.. He was a real guiding voice in the originals! Not the vampires you goofs!! The early stories, not saying aunt May isn't cool but it was different. Who knows what they are really planning? we'll just have to wait and see how it all turns out! |
Coming Soon from Allegiance Arts - MARSHAL: BASS REEVES!
Review - Elvira: Mistress Of The Dark!
Written by Will Harrison
I really hate to admit it but It’s been a while since i’ve went comic shopping. Oddly enough, I had made a visit to my hometown of Shawnee, for a Halloween festival “Boo on The Bell”! While I was there I stopped by the comic shop that I always went to when I was young FYI Bibliotech on downtown Main Street. I came across an interesting find! Issue number nine of “Elvira: Mistress of The Dark”! I nabbed it up pretty quick along with a copy of Superman and Batman which was sporting a Halloween related cover! Back to the Elvira Comic: The artwork is great, Dark, Zany and sexy! Perfect for this type of series. The story was fun and predictable if you had ever watched the original shows, but still entertaining; In fact It made me want to go back and read the back issues. The series is produced by Dynamite Comics, which is a company that does a great job with transitioning old TV shows into comics, such as The Highlander comic series, they are a good read if you get the chance to read them, I definitely recommend them as well as this Elvira series! This one happens to be perfect for the Halloween season as well, just saying! Until next time! |
Changes Coming To DC's Justice League - With A Reboot!
Written by Will Harrison
In June, DC Comics will be rebooting Justice League and from the looks of it they have added a few familiar faces to the team! In fact it looks like the team that was featured in the Justice League cartoon series many years ago produced by, Bruce Tim - with the added bonus of Cyborg! Artists Jim Cheung and Jorge Jimenez will join writer Scott Snyder to launch this new era of the Justice League! I believe this is a step in the right direction, that has been needed for a long time. It's a good diverse team but well balanced all the same. I honestly have missed seeing Hawk Girl, John Stewart and Martian Manhunter in the league since the new 52 started. I'd rather see them in the league than in separate titles. I look forward to the new reboot, I just hope it sticks this time - too many reboots cause lots of headaches! LOL! I guess we'll have to wait and see! |
Doomsday Clock: Two Universes Collide For Answers!
Written by Will Harrison
Doomsday Clock is a twelve issues story arc that meshes the DC Universe with that of the Watchmen, which was created by Alan Moore in 1986, published by DC Comics. For those that don’t know – the Watchmen characters have been rumored to be connected with the new 52 and with Rebirth, however we aren’t sure how exactly. All we know is what we’ve been told by the original Wally West/Kid Flash; Wally said that someone unknown had been messing with time stream and that seven years was taken from the DC universe. We also have had other clues, the Comedian’s smiley face button showing up in the Bat cave, the Atom/Ray Palmer locked away in the Microverse, Batman finding out there are three different Jokers and other little clues along the way. This story starts with Ozymandias (the main protagonist of Watchman) gathering villains, along with Rorschach, somehow brought back life (or maybe a fake) to help him on his quest to find Doctor Manhattan for his help to fix everything that had gone wrong in the past, not that we believe that right? We're already into issue two and they have traveled to the DC universe and Ozymandias has connected with Lex Luthor while Rorschach has snuck into the bat cave and has been confronted by Batman. That's all I'll say about the story. So far the artwork on the covers and throughout the books has been very reminiscent of the original Watchmen series. It will be neat to see how the universes mesh together or how they clash. Watchmen universe has always been very rated R, and the DC universe not so much. I’m looking forward to seeing how all this turns out! I’m a big fan of both universes and have wanted to see a story like this for a long time. |
Marvel Legacy: The Best of The Past And Present!
Written by Will Harrison
Marvel Legacy#1, debuts old characters and new characters alike! After the success of DC's Rebirth, Marvel took a step back and looked at what the readers were saying about their characters and storylines; so Marvel Legacy is about displaying new characters such as - Avengers of 1,000,000 BC and Weapon H as well as bringing back the iconic stuff of Marvel like - Steve Rogers/Captain America being a good guy again, Thor getting his hammer back, and Banner becoming The Hulk again among the new front. After reading this issue, I believe that Marvel is on the right track again. I grew up reading comics and was not happy with a lot of the changes that were made in recent years, I won't be specific at this time about the changes I didn't like. With that being said I think you should give marvel Legacy#1 a read and follow some of the new stories! |
The Chronicles of Rachel Strand: Indie Series Has A Great Start! Oct 6 2017
Written by Will Harrison
Chronicles of Rachel Strand is a unique comic series, that meshes with the Horror genre, with that being said – don’t be surprised if you see a few other monsters along the way. This is a series published by Equinox Comics out of Tulsa Oklahoma; the guys at Equinox have been doing indie comics for quite some time. I originally met them in Tulsa during a convention called Sci-Fi Horror Weekend, about ten years or so ago. Since that time I’ve seen them put out some pretty impressive material when it comes to comics. I don’t say that lightly – these guys are some talented writers and artists and most of all true fans of comic books! Anyway, back to the comic; Rachel Strand is a super powered Vampire, so you can imagine that she can put up quite the fight with just about anything; She also happens to be a sexy vixen dressed in tight leather armed with with steel claws. Yummy! I’m just saying. In this first issue she’s up against, a giant ugly troll creature that has Its mind set on destroying the city of Babylon and It’s a knock down drag out fight, with blood splashing and buildings crumbling all around. There’s a surprise demon creature involved as well. I don’t want to give a way too much of the story, but I will say the ending definitely leads into future stories. The fight sequence is one of the best I’ve seen in a non-mainstream series. Tommy Brownell’s writing is grand and Johnnie Johnson’s artwork is stellar! For more information about this and other series put out by Equinox Comics, follow them on Facebook and check out their website at: http://equinoxcomics.com |
Rebirth: Justice League of America #1 Mar 31 2017
Written by Will Harrison
DC’s, Justice League of America#1, features a whole new team of heroes and ex villains, led by none other than the Batman. That’s right folks we get to see how Batman will lead a league of his own choosing; If you have been reading the crossover series Justice League vs. Suicide Squad, then you know that in the aftermath of the crossover Batman decided to keep a few of the baddies for his own team. The new league consists of Lobo, Vixen, Atom (not Ray Palmer), Killer Frost, Black Canary, The Ray and Batman. This series has a nice fresh vibe to it, no pun intended. The story opens with batman saying “The Justice League watches from above”. That’s not good enough anymore.” While chatting with Vixen. The story goes directly into the new team confronting a group of bullying aliens lead by, Lord Havoc, which is a lame name. He claims to want to save our world by apparently destroying it. I won’t go into anymore of the story itself. Overall it seems to be CW’s Legends of Tomorrow led by Batman. However, which that being said, I am hopeful of this one. It’s taking a chance but in a safe way, so good idea DC. I say give it a read, it looks to be a fun ride. I highly encourage you read the solo title comics, like Killer Frost or The Atom, that follow each individual character. |
Changes Coming To The DCU: New Costumes and Crossovers Jan 13 2017
Written by Will Harrison
Good News DC fans! During the month's of April and May, big things are happening in the DC comic world. First, your favorite hero Superman - will be sporting a new look or really a more classic look! I'm glad to see the neck collar thing leave! That's right pictured below is the official new look of the Man of Steel. As you can see he will be back awfully close to his classic look, and that is super cool. Sporting once again the red boots and yellow back on his belt area, as well as a few other changes to his arm cuffs - btw you can see the differences in the picture in the article underneath this one. Second, there will be a team up between Batman and The Flash. They will be crossing over to investigate connections with The Watchmen Universe and how the DCU has been affected by them - in a series called "Button", which references the happening's of DC Universe Rebirth #1. If you recall after Wally West aka the original Kid Flash showed up back on the scene he appeared to several people including Barry Allen/the Flash, Batman and Linda Park (Wally's wife in the original timeline). The book ends with Batman finding the blood stained smily face button of The Comedian's - in the Bat-cave Wondering why it was there. That should catch you up until the series comes out. Featured on the left are two of the covers for the crossover. Artwork by Jason Fabok. Below Superman artwork by Patrick Gleason. |
New X-Men Titles Coming Soon! Dec 13 2016
Written by Will Harrison
Coming up in April, Marvel has announced a surprise in store for all the X-Men fans. Two books will be published each month featuring two different teams. Team Gold – this will consist of Old Man Logan, Colossus, Storm, Night Crawler and Racheal Grey, daughter of Jean Grey, with Kitty Pride and Logan as the mentors. Team Blue – this will consist of Jean Grey, Beast, Cyclops, Angel, Iceman and Magneto as the Professor X role; basically the original X-men without The Professor. The teams are made up of X-Men from different timelines which, in my opinion, is a mess and a bad way to bring back heroes that have been killed off. It made more sense to have their offspring to take over - which is what I thought they were originally doing. Honestly, I’m not seeing this working for very long, but Marvel is known for doing some weird stuff. Still in the end, if enough fans complain and stop buying comics then they’ll change it back. |
Image Comics - The Discipline - Review. Apr 6 2016
Written by Will Harrison
The Discipline is not a normal comic story. It’s a story of a girl that is being lead into a dark underworld/lifestyle that is full of monsters or sexual spirits. This book is not for younger readers. In the story, the girl has a mentor/love interest similar to the one in Fifty Shades Of Gray. He’s a young, handsome, well-to-do man, with obvious power and allure. Also he’s creepy and that gets worse as it goes along. This book is full of adult language, adult situations and tons of sexual imagery. I would consider this a book of Bestiality of sorts or at least monsterality. It’s like Fifty Shades Of Gray mixed with Twilight. To be honest, the imagery on the cover got my attention, but I became disinterested only after reading it. The artwork is done by Leandro Fernandez; he’s a very talented artist that does some great imagery. The story is written by Peter Milligan. This isn’t my usual type of comic, but for some it would have appeal. So check it out for yourself! www.imagecomics.com |
DC - Superman: Lois And Clark - Review. Jan 13 2016
Written by Will Harrison
Superman: Lois and Clark, is probably my favorite DC title right now. It’s a story based on the pre-New 52 Superman and Lois Lane. During a recent DC series Convergence - several of the original universes and/or key characters were saved from distinction by Brainiac. This, of course, is why the Pre-52 Superman and Lois exist. Clark and Lois were given a choice of where to live within the 52 universes. They chose the current new 52 universe. However they’re disguised and have taken on different names to stay anonymous from everyone and to protect their son. BTW their son isn’t aware that his dad is or was Superman. So that adds to the plot of the story as well. Since they arrived here, Clark has been secretly doing good deeds and protecting this universe from potential threats similar to ones he dealt with in his original universe. He has been able to stay off the radar of the current Justice league so far. He has done a lot of good, but things are starting to get complicated, with the villains anyway. The ones that he has locked away; are working together now and going after those that he loves. I’ll stop it there. I don’t want to give away spoilers. DC announced that this series is set to last for eight issues. Hopefully they’ll keep this one going for longer than expected. Written by Dan Jurgens and pencils by Lee Weeks. It’s available in digital and print. Check it out for yourself. Go to www.dccomics.com for more information about the series. |
Marvel - The Totally Awesome Hulk #1 - Review. Jan 6 2016
Written by Will Harrison
The Totally Awesome Hulk #1 is an interesting twist from the original Hulk stories. It has the appeal for a younger audience. It’s witty and fun. A new hulk for a new generation. Previously it was Bruce Banner, a science engineer that was caught in an explosion of Gamma Radiation. As a result his, anger would bring on the big green goliath. He was constantly burdened, and saw it as a curse. He worried about when the next outburst would happen and how to get a cure for it. Now in the purple pants - is a nineteen-year-old super genius named Amadeus Cho. However Amadeus seems to be enjoying the burden (as Banner would call it). Amadeus seems in control of the power through scientific gadgets. However, he seems to have some wrapped up anger, though I’m sure it will be dealt with eventually. Amadeus Cho was a side character and a friend of Banner’s in the series before. After the happenings in Marvel’s recent Secret Wars series, he has taken over the role. The reason is shrouded in mystery. It looks to be a great run, a fun ride. Check it out at your local comic store or go to www.marvel.com to find out more |
Marvel - Silk#1 - Review. Jan 5 2016
Written by Will Harrison
I believe Silk is an interesting addition to the Spider-Man universe. Silk was originally revealed during another Marvel series, called Original Sin, when Spider-man was allowed to see through The Watcher’s eyes. When looking through such eyes you can see the secrets of the universe. It was revealed that Peter Parker was not the only spider bite victim. Before dying the spider bit a young girl named Cindy Moon, thus Silk was born. She; however, was locked away in a bunker because she couldn’t control her powers. When this was realized - Spider-man broke her out. Silk#1 is a start to a decent story. It follows after all that was mentioned before. The artwork for the series is similar to the Manga style, which is refreshing for a younger audience – it seems that this book is geared for a teenage audience. The story is about her trying to find out more about the family she lost during her captivity. She is kind of playing a double agent it seems to get this done. She has a run in with Mockingbird and the Goblin Nation (a group created in honor of The Green Goblin) and it's probably ran by him or another related character). I recommend this series. Go out and pick up it up for yourself. For more info about this character or series check out www.marvel.com |
Dark Knight III: The Master Race - Review. Dec 8 2015
Written by Will Harrison
Dark Knight 3: The Master Race is an eight issue series that takes place after the events of The Dark Knight Returns and The Dark Knight Strikes Again. The series is written by Frank Miller and Brian Azzarello with amazing pencils by Andy Kubert. I have to say so far it seems better in my opinion than Dark Knight Strikes Again. The series starts with a lot of mystery surrounding the whereabouts of Bruce Wayne, and it seems that another has taken up the cowl and doing a really bad job at it I might add. Wonder Woman is featured fighting while in care of a baby. Superman is featured frozen in the Fortress Of Solitude, that’s all I can say with out giving everything away. Within the main book there is a miniature comic featured as well. The story involves Superman’s daughter toting the bottle of Kandor looking for The Atom’s help. I don’t want to give a way too many spoilers, so I’ll stop there. It was however a cool little added bonus. Each issue will have variant covers by Jim Lee, Scott Williams, Alex Sinclair, Frank Miller and many others. Hastings even has special edition covers. I settled for the cheaper of the covers for $5.99. I’m not worried about the value, only the story and artwork. I like the start to this series, so I recommend it for a good read! Check it out at your local comic shops or online. |
DC - Batman And Robin Eternal. Oct 12 2015
Written by Will Harrison
Batman and Robin Eternal will begins October 7th. It’s a follow-up story from last year’s Batman Eternal – a weekly series that focused on Batman and brought in all of his various sidekicks. The new series is focused on the different Robins, having them work together since Batman is not around. Actually, Bruce Wayne is around he’s just suffering from memory loss after his battle with the Joker in the finale of Endgame. Alfred is encouraging the sidekicks not try and get Bruce to remember his past life, because Bruce is happy and content. In his absence, Jim Gordon has taken up the mantel of the bat and is wearing a robotic battle suit. Back to the main title, there will be three parallel stories going on during Batman and Robin Eternal. One focuses on Dick Grayson, one about a confession Bruce made about possibly having involvement with Dick's parents deaths and one current story involving all of the sidekicks. This series will be a weekly series as was the first one. That should catch you up with the stories going into Batman and Robin Eternal. To find out more, read the series or check it out on www.dccomics.com |
New World Comic's Features: Heathen#2 Book Signing. Aug 31 2015
Written by Scott Cosby
It was a great time on Saturday, August 29th during Natasha Alterici's book signing at New World Comics (6219 N Meridian Ave)! While there I talked with Tulsa based writer & artist Natasha Alterici; who was debuting Heathen #2 in the comic series, where a Viking warrior woman conspires to end the tyrannical reign of the god-king Odin. Natasha is an amazing comic creator, she's very gracious and friendly with her fans! With Natasha was Kristen Grace, a writer for the Literati Press, whom I had a pleasant conversation with. I look forward to reading some of her writings. Thanks to New World Comics owner, Brian “Buck” Berlin for letting me cover this event for The OKC Edge! IDW - The X-Files: Season 11 Aug. 11 2015
Written by Scott Cosby
IDW publishing recently announced a Season 11 of The X-Files to be released in comic book format. In this storyline.. Agent Mulder has become a fugitive from the government. Accused of being a traitor and sharing secrets thanks to the manipulations of The Glasses-Wearing Man. It seems this villain is similar to that of The Smoking Man from the television series. It’s up to Agent Scully, and the few allies of Mulder, to work on clearing his name and keep the government itself from falling further into the villain’s clutches. IDW’s The X-Files season 11 begins August 12, 2015. The creative team consists of Writer, Joe Harris; Artist, Matthew Dow Smith; Colorist, Jordie Bellaire, with cover art by Menton3. This sounds like classic X-Files, excitement! Remember the truth is out there! |

Black Mask Studios - Liberator - Review. July 6 2015
Written By Will Harrison
Liberator is a story that focuses on the life of one young man bringing down those that harm animals. Whether the culprits are torturing them, killing them or using them for experiments this guy doesn’t mess around. I mean seriously, he dresses up in a ski mask and dark clothes to do what he believes is necessary; sometimes burning down or blowing up the related facilities. He always lets the animals go or finds a safe place for them - then he inflicts his own form of Karma. He doesn’t hurt the people directly only their facilities. I received the first four issues of Liberator from a friend, whom highly recommended it. I was hesitant at first, it wasn’t my usual type of comic book series, but I gave it a try. I was impressed with how easy I was able to connect with the characters so quickly. It has great art and a good premise. I will say this is not a book for children, there is a lot of adult language and potential violence. |
The series was created and written by Matt Miner. Pencils and inks are by Javier Sanchez Aranda. It was published through Black Mask Studios out of LA, CA. I’m not an activist of any type, however, I don’t like it when animals are hurt. I point this out for a couple of reasons. I’m not biased to the cause and I’m not saying what they are doing is right or wrong, however it does make for an interesting story either way. One thing I found cool about this series is at the back of each book there are true stories documented of heroes that defend animal rights. It was definitely worth a read. Check it out for yourself. . Here’s a few links: www.blackmaskstudios.com www.mattminer.net www.liberatorcomic.com |
Spider-Man: Reboots And The Super Star Life. July 1 2015
Written By Will Harrison
Here's new designs for The Amazing Spider-Man. With this reboot he has a new lifestyle as well. Apparently, after Secret Wars Peter Parker has become a successful and wealthy technology tycoon. That's quite the opposite from what we're used to. As Owner of Parker Industries: He mirrors his former mentor, Tony Stark a.k.a Iron Man and even a certain DC character if you know what I mean! I like that they brought back the old school webs under the arms, but The costume reminds me of Ben Reilly's costume (the clone of Peter Parker - that took over as the hero for a while and was eventually killed by The Green Goblin). The car in the background reminds me of the Thundercat's Tumbler and something from the Power Rangers, LOL. We'll see how long this storyline last. Stay tuned for more Comic Book News. |

DC - Wonder Woman 77: Special Edition. June 1 2015
Written by Will Harrison
This is a great find for any fans of the original TV series starring Lynda Carter. I grew up watching this show and was excited to see this available on the stands. Writer Marc Anreyko and artist Drew Johnson are the creative team behind the first half of this book, a great duo. The second half of the book, has artwork by Jason Badower, it’s equally great, but with the added bonus of looking more realistic. Artists Nicola Scott and Annette Kwok did the cover art. I’m really digging the 70s style coloring throughout the book. The writing and artwork is, dead-on with the famous TV series. I really enjoyed all of the quirky one-liners and cheesiness, of this special. There are a few hints at more modern Wonder Woman villains, but it wasn’t overkill. I’d say well done. This book also offers many extras: Stock photos from the original series, concept art for the book as well as a great featurette on the making and casting of the TV series. If I had a list - I would put this on the top for recommended reading. It was well worth the price of 7.99 and I highly recommend it to any true Wonder Woman fan. |
DC - Convergence: Aquaman #1 & #2 Review May 28 2015
Written by Scott Cosby
I picked up issue #1 and 2 of Convergence: Aquaman last weekend. First; a little background of the Convergence arc, which involves Brainiac collecting cities and inhabitants from various timelines that have ended, trapping them in domes on a planet outside of time and space and opening them up to see what happens. The two issues feature the creative team of Writer, Tony Bedard and Artist, Cliff Richards. Bedard was an editor on Aquaman and JLA during the 1990s, and very familiar with that version of Aquaman. There are challenges that are unique to Aquaman in these issues that keep it very interesting for the reader and Bedard’s writing captures his situation very well. Richards’ artwork captures the moodiness of Aquaman very well at times as well as the fighting scenes. The cover art for issue #1 had great color work, but very minimal. Issue #2 cover was my favorite, the intensity of Aquaman’s blood soaked face was impressive to me and tells me the character is willing to go way further than anyone would expect! In issue #1, Aquaman has lost his home, powers, and hand again. Later in the issue, a confrontation with the Wildstorm universe character, Deathblow. Issue #2, from Aquaman’s blood soaked face on the cover. I would say the fight with Deathblow was intense! STAR Labs is a major focus and ally to Aquaman in both issues. No more spoilers here, but I would definitely recommend these two issues! And, of course the ending with Convergence #8. |
DC Comics: The Aftermath Of Convergence. May 19 2015
Written By Will Harrison
Here's a look at the DC Comics' advertisements for the month of June. It displays the aftermath of Convergence. Some of these titles appear to be decent and some look pointless to me. I'm not happy with Jim Gordon being the new Batman - however, I'm ok with Tim Drake as Batman Beyond. As far as Superman goes, I wish they would go back to his roots. I haven't been happy with Superman since the beginning of New 52. Back when DC Had Their comic series Forever Evil - I predicted that both Cyborg and Bizarro would be getting their own titles. So no real surprise there! The series We Are Robin looks interesting, I want to see where they go with that. It reminds me of the punk characters in the series The Dark Knight returns. I'm hopeful that DC is making a real turn around for the better, but we'll have to watch and see. Until next Time, stay tuned to Comic Book News on The OKC Edge. |

Displacements Oasis: Review. May 1 2015
Written By Will Harrison
Displacements: Oasis is definitely true to name, an oasis of displacement - objects and genres that don’t fit together. You have a prisoner/gamer type fighting off zombie hordes, whose primary concern is clothing. Another character is a loud mouthed elf and a muppet wearing sports gear, Their world is being controlled by robots. A very unique comic series, the art reminds me of Second Life mingled with a few other popular video games. It’s apparent the work that went into creating such a fun world. The 3D style graphics set it apart, making it unlike any other comics you typically see. Displacements: Oasis was written and created by Scott McClung and published by SAM-Strange Art Media. It’s available for digital download and print for only five bucks. I recommend this book purely based on the unique and far out story. You will never find another comic like this, so be sure to add it to your collection. Old Wounds #1: Review Apr. 23 2015
Written By Will Harrison
Old Wounds was a true delight with such a great opening story. It parallels a few other well-known comic storylines, while still having its own twists. I usually have a tough time getting into indie comics, most of them don’t have the pull to lead me in but with this comic I feel the draw and I like it. Written by Russell Lissau, with artwork by John Bivens, and published by Pop Goes the Icon. The story initially opens with the main character - Michael Lane who is being questioned by the police about his whereabouts during the possible murder of his ex-wife. It is later revealed, through great imagery, that he and his ex-wife had been hero-vigilantes. Of course, he doesn’t let the police in on this little fact, so he begins his own search for her killer. I won’t go any further about the story that would be crazy, on my part. You can’t help love the Watchmen type feeling of this story mingled with an art-style reminiscent of Kickass (artist John Romita Jr.). I look forward to the next installment of the series and stoked about a new addition to my collection. I highly recommend you give, Old Wounds a read. DC's Convergence #0: Review Apr. 2 2015
Written By Will Harrison
Convergence #0 – is a big start to an even bigger story and I can’t wait for it to unfold. The story was written by Dan Jurgens and Jeff King, the Art by Ethan Van Sciver and the coloring by Marcelo Maiolo. In the beginning, Superman is being held captive by the ultimate Brainiac – by ultimate I mean God-like. In contrast to many of the Brainiacs from the span of the DCU this Brainiac is huge, making the others a mini-extension of himself. You will catch glimpses of his past self, in this first issue. I won’t tell you which parts, I would hate to spoil it for you. The storyline boils down to this, Brainiac has collected pieces of various timelines and has taken them out of space and time to experiment with them and see which ones are worthy of existing. The end result is that you now have different realities combating each other along with that of The New 52 timeline. So when all is said and done, you will have some major changes despite DC having stated that they plan on keeping The New 52. So what you need to know is, starting this month - all DC titles have been replaced with 40 two-part storylines that go along with the main Convergence nine-part storyline until finished. That’s #0 - #8 - The eight issues will span over eight weeks. This series will be explaining what happened during the story arc Superman Doomed. If you remember, during the last issue of the story arc - Superman went missing for a period of time only to return with a beard and babbling nonsense about multiple versions of his self - the book ended with imagery of the Convergence storyline. That should catch you up for now. Be sure and check out Convergence, It’s going to be killer. It also has variant covers. I bought it with the cool black and white cover! I am excited! Stay tuned for more Comic book news. |
DC - Aquaman and the Others #11 Review Mar. 11 2015
Written by Scott Cosby
Recently, I picked up the last issue of this run. It seemed to come more quickly than I realized with the announcement in December 2014. Got to say that I liked the idea by DC comics of Aquaman being with a team before Justice League, and they were a unique and original concept! The creative team of this issue includes: Writer: Dan Jurgens, Artist(s): Lan Medina & Allen Martinez, Colorist: Matt Milla, Letterer: Rob Leigh, and Cover Artist(s): Dan Jurgens, Joe Prado, and Rain Beredo. The issue was released: March 4, 2015. The story: The villainous team of Mayhem is very much present in the issue. Mayhem is comprised of terrorists from across the history of DC comics, NKVDemon and KGBeast (Batman) and Cheshire, with a couple other characters thrown into the mix. Jurgens provides narration for this last adventure through the thoughts and words of Vostok, one of the Others and a one-time ally of Aquaman. Set on a deserted island, the story focuses on only the combatants, offering readers battle match-ups between the members of teams, including Mera (Aquaman’s wife). Jurgens keeps it from becoming predictable, and chooses to wrap-up the loose ends. As Convergence nears, Aquaman and the Others are drawn to a close as with other stories and characters in the DC universe are on-hold. Jurgens and Medina seem to treat this issue as a series finale raither than as an actual end in my opinion. The end?! I don’t think so. The Others are established now; I’m hoping they will return with the Sea-King and as a single entity. Definitely, a recommended read! |
IDW - G.I. Joe: Snake Eyes, Agent of Cobra #2 Feb. 26 2015

Written by Scott Cosby
I’ve been a G.I. Joe fan for a long time, and IDW Publishing has certainly done well with this franchise! Coming February 25, 2015 to your local comic shops is: G.I. Joe: Snake Eyes, Agent of Cobra #2.
The story: Snake Eyes begins his mission for Cobra: tracking down the former Cobra Commander's son and bringing him in. But Snake Eyes is not the only Cobra agent on the hunt... as Storm Shadow enters the fray, looking for revenge! The creative team includes: Writer - Mike Costa, Artist - Paolo Villanelli, and Colorist - Joana Lafuente.
In terms of the writing, it’s hard to knock Mike Costa for what he’s doing, and by pairing the Chameleon and Snake Eyes is a good one, since they were rarely (if at any time) seen together in the past. Visually, the issue is good! Little action happens until near the end.
Joana Lafuente produces a blend of vibrant outdoor tones and darker shades which demonstrates her expert touch. This is still great G.I. Joe fun for any fan of the franchise!

Heathen - Literati Press. Feb. 25 2015

Written By Will Harrison
If you’re into Viking lore with creative twist, then you’ll love this new comic series.
This is an intriguing story about a Viking princess that has been denounced by her family, so much that they have a funeral for her to act as though she’s dead. She’s defiant and often fighting and or standing up to greedy leaders and monster types. She has a fearless spirit, always wanting adventure and freedom. It’s also a tale about friendship as well as a growing up story.
The pages are covered with amazing artwork. You will enjoy the creative ambiance of color, ink and storyline. It is put together really well. It is written and drawn by Natasha Alterici and published by Literati Press.
Reading this story makes me want to watch the history channel’s Vikings or maybe Game Of Thrones. I think you know what I’m getting at. So give this comic series a read, you will enjoy it as I have.

Dark Horse Presents #200 Feb. 4 2015
Written by Scott Cosby
Coming February 18, 2015 to your local comic shops, Dark Horse Presents #7. This is the 200th issue of this great anthology! In the 80-page issue, Mike Mignola revisits Hellboy’s time in Mexico with a follow-up to his story “The Coffin Man.” Fred Van Lente delivers a story about the telepathic cyborg gorilla Ape-X! Brendan McCarthy’s Dream Gang returns. Sergio Aragonés delivers the first chapter of a new Groo tale with writer Mark Evanier. This issue will also feature a story from Gillian Flynn (Gone Girl) and Dave Gibbons (Watchmen)! Dark Horse Presents (DHP) was developed as an anthology concept and the first comic by the newly formed Dark Horse Comics in 1986. The first issue featured Black Cross on the cover and was notable for the first appearance of Paul Chadwick's Concrete. The title became successful thanks to the increasing popularity of Concrete which quickly became the regular cover feature for much of the first few years of the title. DHP also contained stories from other later Dark Horse's licensed comics such as Aliens and Predator, as well as Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and many others. |
Mindquakes & Dreamscapes - Review. Jan. 19 2015
Written By Will Harrison
A fantasy comic with short stories written by local comic writer Jackson Compton and illustrated by the talented Natasha Alteric and Katrina Heilhecker. You don’t get more interesting than this. Their first issue features two stories – Felius Catus and The Siren and The Satyr. The first is a story about cats and the afterlife, but with a twist. I have to admit, the cat nirvana sequence is kind of intense when you really think about it. Either way, all the cat lovers out there will enjoy this immensely. The second story has no printed words; you have to derive the story from the art. My interpretation is that a mermaid and a goat boy are connected through love, their communications and interactions affect those around them. Those various effects might possibly result in death. All in all, this unique comic is worth the read. Now's your chance to get in on this groovy series created by Equinox Comics out of Tulsa,Ok. She was found and raised by and ancient Vampire hunting family called Hellrazers, during a routine attack on a vicious group of vampires. To prepare her and protect her they buried her for one hundred years, I know right..must be why she was a little pissed when they dug her up. The Bargain Graphic Novel: Review Nov 12 2014
Written by Scott Cosby
While at OAFcon 2014 in Norman stopped and talked to fellow Oklahoma Comic Creator, Kara Barrett. I picked up a copy of her graphic novel, The Bargain. The story: “With only hours left to break a pact for his soul, Jackson Connolly attempts one final, desperate gamble at salvation. It's a journey that will take him from the backwoods of ghostly Louisiana to the seductive lights of a 1950s New Orleans burlesque club. Adventure and moody noir fuse in this supernatural tale of ghosts, hellhounds and hoodoo magic.” I’m not giving away any spoilers on Kara’s graphic novel here, but I thoroughly enjoyed: The Bargain! It reminded me of a classic detective film, but with nail-biting action, monsters, and the supernatural. Kara’s writing is just superb, and the The cover and interior art by J.C. Grande was top-notch and definitely fit the 1950s noir theme of the graphic novel. Barrett and Grande make a great creative team! Illustrated Girl #1: Review. Nov 5 2014
Written By Will Harrison
If you havent gotten a copy of Illustrated Girl, then its time for you to jump on the wagon and get one. Seriously! It's an amazing comic series created and writen by Jackson Compton, Illustrated by Natasha Alterici and published by Enigma Endeavors Productions; with Sandra Pagan as the muse. I love the cover art and the illustration throughout the book. The story is good too. It's about a girl that can make her drawings come to life; Its about how she relates to others around her and what they think of her. There seems to be a demon like presence hovering and putting things into motion behind the scenes, not sure if hes good or bad in this story yet but my guess is he's evil. Personally I'm looking forward to the next issue. I can't wait to see what happens next! For more information about Illustrated Girl contact Jackson Compton on Facebook. Dont forget to support their Kickstarter for issue#2 https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/223920479/illustrated-girl-2-janet-lee-variant-cover |

The Death Of Wolverine:Marvel's Plans To Kill Off Everyone's Favorite Mutant. Aug 11 2014
Written By Will Harrison
If you haven't heard already...Wolverine is set to die starting in September. It seems good old Logan has lost his healing ability and therefore he's no good to us anymore. Which seems to be Marvel's current mindset or do they have something else planned? To be honest, it's not really surprising. If you have watched the Last Wolverine movie you know what I'm talking about. It was the premise of the story. So who will finally off Wolverine? What's your guess? Will it be Deadpool, Sabertooth, Silver Samurai, Lady Deathstrike or will it just be such a bad storyline that even Logan decides its time to give up the ghost? Lets be honest...do you really think he'll be gone that long, anyway? I mean comic companies are known for killing off their best characters and then bringing them back soon after. Marvel as well as other companies are known for writing both good and bad story-lines. Lets hope this story is worthy of Wolverine's hopes for a good death. Until next time R.I.P Wolverine. |

Marvel Will Replace Captain America! July 6 2014
Written By Will Harrison
Marvel has announced that they plan to replace Steve Rogers, with a new Captain America. What? They've done this several times already in the past...So why do it again. Although it seems they are going for that with happenings in the Winter Soldier film. Anyway The storyline is as follows...Steve Rogers has lost his super soldier serum that kept him young, reducing him to a feeble 90 year old man with a keen strategic mind. Stepping into a supervisory role, he will choose someone else to fill his boots. There are hints that it might in fact be The Falcon, as you know he's been an on going character in the regular series and on film. I think even though it has already happened in the last several years, they will probably have Winter Soldier do it again...since they like to repeat themselves a lot. Until next time, keep reading comic Book News. |

Aquaman And The Others. It's A Great Start! June 23 2014
Written By Will Harrison
Pictured is the first issue of this series. If you haven't started reading this one, then you should give it a try. The storyline starts with a good build up and great art. The story so far is... A group of misfits/vigilantes/possible heroes is lead by Aquaman AKA Arthur Curry - Current king of Atlantis. The Villain - Atlan, Former king of Atlantis. Is seeking revenge on Atlantis by trying to gather up ancient mystic relics form The Others who possess them. That happens to be the ones working with Aquaman. Why is he doing this? Because he got his arrogant butt banished by Aquaman's ancestor Oron. So he's not very happy about it. Right now the relic's powers are not working as well as they should. That of course limits The Others from being able to defend themselves as well. The first issue ends with an easters egg relating to DC's current weekly series...Futures End. I won't say much more, i don't want to give away too many spoilers, I would probably sell them for the right price, LOL. Just pick this series up at your local retailers and stay tuned for more Comic Book News. |

What if the canvas of your skin made dreams into realities? Sandra's does - Jackson Compton
Written By Will Harrison Imagine if it were possible to create drawings on your body and in return they would become a reality. That would be awesome! As an artist myself...I would dig being able to do that. Everything I've seen from this book has been amazing, from the art by Natasha Alterici to the writing skills of Jackson Compton - It's will a success, I have foreseen it! I've even met the inspiration for the book - Photographer/Sandra Pagen in person and they've definitely caught her likeness for the series. I was really excited when Jackson mentioned it to me a couple of months ago; After seeing it through the press kit, I'm even more stoked! Jackson did another great series with Jerry Bennet called Nadir's Zenith, you should check it too when you get the chance. "Time Runs Out" For Marvel's Avengers! Another Future Storyline! June 10 2014
Written By Will Harrison
Starting in September...Marvel will have their Avengers titles move to eight months in the future. This event Called Time Runs Out will be after their current storyline called Original Sins. I'm wondering why Marvel is doing this, when DC already has an event going on called Future's End. It bugs me when the companies are so focused on competing with each other;that they have to copy off each other in this way. It happens too much in my opinion. Marvel is saying This will be like Secret Wars in reverse. Secret Wars was the big event title for Marvel in the 80s. The finale was in the main title books, Time Runs Out - will finish throughout the regular titles. This is a little different but still. If you watched X-Men Days Of Futures Past...Then you know its whole theme was about the future and the past, so if you look the premise of that movie, It's not too surprising that the comics are going this way. More often than not, the comics end up following after the films. It always bugs me when it happens. I enjoy it more when the films follow the comics. The argument from the directors is always "It won't be realistic if we do that". Who cares? To me thats the point that makes it fun. Anyway Stay tuned to Comic book news, for updates on your favorite titles. |

DC - The New 52 - FUTURES END - Review May 14 2014
Written By Will Harrison
This series looks promising, it has good momentum and a catchy story. The story so far is...A Batman from the future (known from the series Batman Beyond) Terry McGinnis, has come from the future to wipe out a person that causes a terrible future in the DC universe. A future controlled by the omacs. Cybertronic drones that have seemed to wipe out all the heroes as well as controlled the humans. Which supposedly started after a battle with another earth. We don't know which battle this is referring too because this is based five years in the future from the current DCU. So a very aged Bruce Wayne; thirty years in the future, sacrifices himself sending Terry back to stop what is to come. The only problem is he didn't get sent back far enough, instead he's sent back after it's already started. Bum deal, sucks when you don't get sent back far enough. FYI Bruce said to Terry before he died to not contact his younger self because"I won't believe you and I'll stop you! Don't bring Clark into it either it would just get messy" I know right, fun things to remember when time traveling. This is a weekly series. Written by Brian Azzarello, Jeff Lemire, Dan Jurgens and Keith Giffen. Art by Patrick Zircher, with variant covers by John Romita Jr. So be sure and check this one out at your local comic shop. |
DC – New52 Aquaman Vol.2: The Others TPB Review April 30 2014
Written by Scott Cosby
Recently picked up this TPB and I got to say what a great follow-up to Aquaman Vol.1: The Trench and an epic battle with his arch-enemy, Black Manta! The story: Long before the King of the Seven Seas joined the Justice League, Aquaman was a part of another super-team: The Others. These young costumed adventurers traveled the globe, each trying to find their own individual road to redemption. Six years later after a grisly murder, The Others reunite. Aquaman must lead the charge to stop his arch-nemesis, but will the years have fractured The Others just enough to keep them from bringing him to justice? Created by the same team of the Blackest Night series, writer – Geoff Johns, and artists – Ivan Reis and Joe Prado really brings Aquaman into a new dynamic, but at the same time keeps the character’s classical roots. The Others are an interesting group of heroes. If you enjoyed Johns’ version of Aquaman, don't miss out on this one! This volume collects issues #7-13 of the New52 Aquaman. |

DC – New52 Batman and Aquaman #29 April 16 2014
Written by Scott Cosby
There have been several Batman & Aquaman (DC) team-ups over the years. Always seemed a great team-up to me! I recently picked up and read: New52 Batman and Aquaman #29: The Hunt for Robin. It was definitely worth a read as a fan of both characters. Writer - Peter J. Tomasi draws heavily from the final chapters of Grant Morrison’s Batman Incorporated epic and as a result Aquaman’s arrival happens quite naturally. The story: Batman is in a submarine and he’s tracking down Ra’s al Ghul, the man who stole the bodies of Talia and Damian from the Wayne Manor (seriously, why has it taken so long for us to get a story where Batman gets some payback, you don’t steal from Batman!). The Art team of Patrick Gleason, Mick Gray, and others makes this comic a real feast for the eyes with everything from underwater battles, to raids on James Bond-esque secret lairs, and we even take to the skies briefly. And as a major Aquaman fan, he is done well in this comic! Pick it up today! |
IDW – Simonson’s Star Slammers #1 April 14 2014

IDW recently shipped the first issue of new mini-series to comic shops in late March 2014 by comics’ legend, Walter Simonson! Besides co-creating Manhunter with the great Archie Goodwin in the early days of his career; Simonson has written and drawn nearly all of the Marvel and DC characters at one time or another, including: The Fantastic Four, Batman, Orion, Elric, and his groundbreaking run on The Mighty Thor. Star Slammers is a series first devised by Simonson during his college days. The story: A race of men who could out-shoot, out-fight, and out-kill anybody. They were paid fabulous sums to act as mercenaries. The practice became so lucrative; they decided to go into business. They became the most successful businessmen in history, and they called themselves...The Star Slammers. Simonson is the writer, artist, and cover artist for this new mini-series, and will include a total of eight (8) issues of his comic awesomeness! |
IDW – The Crow: Pestilence Mini-Series April 8 2014
Written by Scott Cosby
Last month, a Crow mini-series appeared in comic book shops from IDW with a new creative team at the helm. The story in The Crow: Pestilence: Juarez, Mexico. A young boxer named Salvador refuses to take a fall, but has no problem taking a vicious drug gang's pay-off. When they take their lethal revenge on the Salvador and his family, he returns as The Crow, in search of vengeance and forgiveness. The creative team includes: Writer - Frank Bill, Artist - Drew Moss, Colorist - Oliver Lee Arce, and Cover Artist - James O' Barr. The bottom line: The Crow: Pestilence is a great introduction for a new mini-series with a lot of promise. Frank Bill has a good handle on this character, so now we get to see what happens. As a fan of the original Crow and James O' Barr, I’m anxious to see this four issue mini-series do well. James O' Barr makes his presence known in this mini-series with awesome cover artwork! |

Star Trek Original Series Episode Warps Into Comic Series March 11 2014
Written by Scott Cosby
IDW recently announced they will adapt the Star Trek - Original Series episode "City On the Edge of Forever" into a comic mini-series. This episode is regarded by many (including a TV Guide poll of the "100 Best TV Episodes of All Time") as the greatest Star Trek (TOS) episode of all time, but there's much more to the story than fans saw on TV. Harlan Ellison's original teleplay was modified before the episode was filmed, but now, at long last, fans will be able to enjoy this comic series in June 2014. It will be produced under the guidance of Harlan Ellison himself, along with writers Scott Tipton and David Tipton, no strangers to IDW's Star Trek comic universe; interior art by J.K. Woodward (Star Trek: TNG/Doctor Who). Each issue will feature a special cover by artist Juan Ortiz, whose artistic interpretations of every episode of Star Trek: The Original Series (TOS) were recently published in an oversize hardcover collection. Variant covers will be provided by movie poster artist/Star Trek: Khan cover artist Paul Shipper. Personally, I’m looking forward to this comic series as Star Trek - TOS fan! |

Indie Comic Scene: Tim & Lynne January 17 2014
Written by Scott Cosby
Independent (or Indie) comics span a wide range of genres, artistic styles, and subjects. The possibilities for these creators are limitless! One such creation is the upcoming comic story, Tim and Lynne by Garth Cremona. As my friend, Garth mentioned in our short interview: “The story is to show that serial killers can fall in love, it's about two people, who have different lifestyles we normally read about in comics: no capes, no powers, it's not science fiction, we’re telling a story about two people falling in love”. The script which I’ve read is very well written with excellent characters, intrigue, and interesting climatic end to the story! An advisory note for parents, the contents of this story may not be for young children. Garth went on to tell me that Tim and Lynne should be launched in March 2014 in print and online versions a little before then. Additionally; to the five (5) normal covers for this comic story, there will be five (5) variant covers done with one of the variants penciled by yours truly. For updates and information on Garth Cremona, visit him on Facebook: CremonaPublishing. |
Local Comic Book Review:Nadir's Zenith. Jan 7 2014
Written by Will Harrison
Upon deciding to read this particular comic, I already knew it was not my usual choice of genre. Nothing wrong with venturing from your usual, a more science fiction based comic seemed intriguing to me and a nice departure from the many superhero comics I tend to read. With that in mind… here we go. I’ve seen and read a lot of indie comics in my life, this stands along among the rest packed with an intriguing story line mixed with great art. It was created, written and lettered by Jackson Compton and Jerry Bennett is the artist, inker and designer. They make a great combo. The art and storyline is reminiscent of the great Image Comics. I say that because I enjoy this storyline and the art which gives the reader a surreal feeling. It is a future story about the first permanent off-world settlement; A centralized Hub for launch-point to worlds beyond our own. I asked Creator Jackson Compton what his favorite part about working on this project was. He answered, “Seeing the imagery come to life in Jerry’s artwork”. I asked the same question to artist Jerry Bennett and his reply was this. “Drawing awesome spaceships and Vehicles” I enjoyed this great read and I think you should pick up a copy or two as well. On sale now, at your local comic stands and in The Plaza district at Dig It. |

DC Comics – Aquaman #26 Review January 1 2014
Written by Scott Cosby
I picked up the last copy at New World Comics on the release date of December 31, 2013! Thanks, Buck for saving that issue for me! Will Harrison usually writes the DC & Marvel comic book news articles for The OKC Edge, but after brief discussion and knowing me as the Aquaman fanatic that I am, allowed me to write this article. A new era has begun with Aquaman #26 with the debut of writer, Jeff Parker (Thunderbolts and Dark Avengers) replacing Geoff Johns. I’m not giving away too many details, but I think Jeff Parker will continue to take the character back to his classical superhero roots after reading this issue! The story: “Sea of Storms”, deadly volcanoes and bizarre creatures are rising to the surface world, so humanity’s first instinct is to blame Atlantis and the pressures of ruling a kingdom under siege are weighing on Aquaman and Mera as well! The rest of the creative team includes art by Paul Pelletier, Netho Diaz, Sean Parsons, and Ruy Jose. Letters by Dezi Sienty. Colors by Wil Quintana and Andrew Dalhouse. Covers by Paul Pelletier, Sean Parsons, and Wil Quintana. My opinion, the character of Aquaman will be just fine with this new team! Long live, the Sea-King! |

The Crow - Movie Reboot June 9 2013
Written by Scott Cosby
2013 is the year of reboots and remakes of previous films which is not always a bad thing, and can sometimes offer a refreshed look at a previous concept. Recently announced, The Crow will fly again with Welsh actor Luke Evans playing the title role in the F. Javier Gutierrez (Director) reboot for Relativity Media. Evans was the original choice, but he has been incredibly busy. He was just cast as the lead in Dracula Year Zero, the villain in Fast & Furious 6, and in The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. Also, looked at for the film was Tom Hiddleston and more recently Alexander Skarsgard, the latter of whom has a bunch of offers after Warner Bros halted Tarzan. The negotiations are still in process, but from all accounts a deal with Evans is expected to be made at some point. It has been mentioned that Evans seems an ideal fit for the role originated by Brandon Lee, who died tragically during production on the original 1994 Alex Proyas directed story based on the James O’Barr comic book series. The Crow reboot does not currently have a release date, but now that the casting has begun, expect that to change soon. |

Wow, Throne of Atlantis has been a wild ride for Aquaman and Justice League readers! I think this story-arc really took both DC comic legends back to their roots and most likely produced a whole new fan-base. Aquaman #17 (released February 27, 2013) was the Throne of Atlantis epilogue and featured an appearance by the Sea Devils, who are not too happy about the post Throne of Atlantis world at all. This issue additionally introduced readers to a new cast member in the Sea-King’s realm, and sets the stage for the next story-arc with an all-new villain to go up against Aquaman. |

It's Official Robin Will Die Feb 26 2013
Written by Will Harrison
The NY Times let it leak that Robin/Damian Wayne will die in the next issue of Batman INC. Thats right Robin will die. I've been waiting a while for this to happen. I don't like the character. I never have. I always liked Tim Drake better. in fact when they demoted him in The New 52. I was irritated. Anyway, Robin will die, following this issue, there will be a silent issue: showing Batman dealing with his loss. then another with Bruce Wayne dealing with the five stages of grief. then they will have him team up with others and title it diferently each time. For example. Batman and Red Hood or Batman and Nightwing. Who knows maybe they will make Wonder Woman his new partner. LOL. Stay tuned for more Comic book news. |

Whats In Store For Marvel Now? Well After Age Of Ultron... Feb 5 2013

Written by Will Harrison
This is the cover for things to come with Marvel Now. A story cover Thanos and the infinity gems. This is a bad mistake in my opinion. They just did a redo of this last year. where the Avengers faced off with Thanos and I might say It was poorly done. The Original Infinity Gauntlet was the best thing that happend to Marvel Comics. It did great on Comic sales and it took the whole Marvel universe pretty much to stop Thanos. It was the first time the heroes were really defeated or killed even as a whole. I mean Iron man got his head ripped off. Thor was thrown into space with out his hammer, The Hulk was shrunk and squashed. It was crazy but it was great. Like I said well done unlike the last recreation. So they are going to do it again. Why? Why? It looks like they are planning on using this story for the Next Avengers movie too. Can someone say redundant? Well stay tuned for more Comicbook News.

"Then in issue #2, you'll see him interact with the team in a way that is extremely different than how we've ever seen Hawkman interact with a team before." I cant wait to see what happens next.
